HISTORY:
Zander Homes™ has developed as a Second-Generation Homebuilder. My father started in the construction industry in Ohio when he was a young man building up the means for his family – and I’ve followed in his footsteps. I started working with him as a 12-year-old kid, picking up trash on jobsites, neatly stacking material and occasionally driving a nail into some piece of lumber, or so I thought…
While at that time it just seemed to be some extra cash, I was learning invaluable lessons in Hard Work, Commitment & Integrity. My understanding and responsibilities of construction grew overtime as I continued to develop throughout my college years. Upon graduation, I started my managerial career with a prominent national homebuilder, then later with a local boutique custom builder. Since the beginning of my professional career, I have climbed the corporate ladder through hard work & self-sacrifice. I have learned well from other experienced leaders and I still use continuing education today to help pattern my craft into a business that is dedicated to best helping each & every of our homeowners build their dream home.
OUR NAME:
We often get asked how we came up with our name, Zander Homes™. The company & my first-born son came all about the same time; his name is Alexander. This was a perfect fit for us personally & corporately – considering that the name Alexander means “defender of man/helper.” And our goal was to provide a great service to people in building their dream home. Now we have two son’s, Alexander & Aaron. Yes, I know, what am I going to name for Aaron…Lol.
